Co To Travel Guide

The tourists must see lots of beautiful beaches in the Central and the Southern of Vietnam. Co To Island in Quang Ninh province also captures the charm of tourists by the pristine beaches with white sand and extremely blue water.

From Hanoi, you can take the bus to Cam Pha, Cua Ong at My Dinh and Luong Yen bus station. It costs about 200.000 VND /way /ticket. The best car companies are Hoang Long and Kumho Viet Thanh, there is 1 trip each 30 minutes. The trip from Hanoi to Cua Ong lasts about 4 hours. Van Don Junction (Bai Chay) is the last stop of Hanoi-Co To journey. There, you take the local bus to go to Cai Rong Port.
Note: If you want to go to Cai Rong to catch the morning train to the island, you have to arrive at Bai Chay before 5 pm the day before. Thus, you can take the last bus and stay in Cai Rong. This area also many motels, hotels at a cost of 150,000 VND / night. Traveling on Co To Island you can rent a motorbike, it is about 200.000 VND per day. Otherwise you can use taxi to travel around the Island.

Co To lighthouse is one of the more than 30 "night eyes" operating across Vietnam's territorial waters. The lighthouse was built in the late 19th century. To reach the lighthouse, you have to go over the curves then climb up 72 steps from the bottom to the top of the lighthouse. There, you can easily take in the panoramic view of Co To Island such as the beautiful seaside town interspersed with green forests, modest roofs.

Cau My Stone

The paradise that anyone comes to Co To Island cannot ignore is the Cau My rocky area located to the south of big Co To Island. Cau My with a system of sedimentary rocks which has been eroded for thousands years by sea water. It has created a rare wonder compared to other famous islands of Vietnam.
The rocks are visible in a variety colors when you come. Stone layered, multi-colored, many shapes that make the area as a vivid picture describing the tectonic process of nature.

Hong Van Beach

Coming to Co To, you will definitely be attracted by the pristine beaches of this beautiful city. Hong Van is one of the destinations will make you feel like that. Located in the east of Co To Island, Hong Vang is quiet, the sea waves rolling like a lake due to Thanh Lan island preventing the wind from the sea.

The last stop of Island is beautiful Van Chai beach, nestled among the beaches with smoothie sand. The sea water here is always blue, the blue color that gets the reflection of the sun.

Love Road

Traveling to Co To, you certainly will hear a romantic road called Love Road. The road is more than 2km long and is tiled with red bricks, along the coast. It located about 100m from the center of Co To town. On this road, you will hear the sound of the sea, the waves of the sea, the blue of the forest, the yellow of the sun.

Small Co To Island

This an uninhabited island, small Co To attracts the most tourists of the Co To archipelago because of its pristine beaches. Co To is more than 1 km away from big Co To. Tourists can rent wooden boats to Co To Island with a travel time of about 25 - 30 minutes without permission. The cost for a boat is 600.000 - 800.000 VND (according to the route). Each boat can carry about 12 people.
