Extending Vietnam free visa for United Kingdom passport holders

After a year performed visa exemption Vietnam for five Europe countries from July 1^st , 2015 to June 30^th, 2016 and to promote the development of Vietnam tourism, Ministry of culture, sports and tourism are going to decide extending Vietnam visa for United Kingdom citizens from 15 days to 30 days single entry and effect from 1 year to 5 years.

As the new regulation, all United Kingdom citizens will have a right to enter Vietnam without visa Vietnam during 15 days and single entry, but if you want to stay in Vietnam longer and multiple entry, United Kingdom passport holders still have to apply for Vietnam visa as normal by two easy ways: directly in Vietnam Embassies and Vietnam visa on arrival online

If you enter Vietnam by visa exemption, please take some well-notes as below:

Prepare your passport and return flight tickets
You can only come back Vietnam after exiting Vietnam about 30 days
You still apply visa to Vietnam as normal if you want to stay longer than 15 days or multiple entries
The price for extending Vietnam visa is quite expensive rather than applying for Vietnam visa and stamping visa at Vietnam airport
