Vietnam free visa to Phu Quoc island for all foreigners

From March 10^th, 2014 Vietnam Government made a decision that people who come to Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam for tourist purpose will be exempted 30 days without Vietnam visa requirement.

As immigration law, all foreigners, Vietnamese overseas with foreign passports that enter or exit in Phu Quoc Island will be exempted by 30 days. So if you are going visit Phu Quoc Island – Vietnam only what you really need is passport with at least 6 months validity.

Some notes:

• At present, all travelers can stamp Vietnam visa at Vietnam Immigration Office at Phu Quoc with Vietnam visa on arrival service in case you flight directly to Phu Quoc International Airport
• In case foreign travellers who come to Vietnam by road, air and sea, stay at transit area at Vietnam airport, and then fly to Phu Quoc Island, they are also exempted visa.
• But in other situations, you want to stay longer in Vietnam or visit other Vietnam attractions, you are required to apply for the visa to Vietnam if you are not in Vietnam visa exemption list.
