Ha Giang - Majestic Beauty in Vietnam

Ha Giang, a mountainous province in the extreme North of Vietnam has a total area of more than 7,884 sq km. Ha Giang province borders Tuyen Quang province in the South, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces in the West, Cao Bang in the North-west, Yun Nam and Quang Xi provinces (China) in the North with a borderline of over 274 km in length.

Ha Giang climate is temperate so it is cool through the year and the air is fresh. It has been remarked an ideal destination by domestic and foreign tourists.

Places to discover

Dong Van rocky highland, was recognized by the Global Geoparks Network (GGN) of UNESCO as one of global geoparks in the world. It became the first global Geopark in Viet Nam and the second in Southeast Asia.

Mysterious caves like Conquering Hell Cave, it is located in Dong Van Karst Plateau. Besides, there are Nam Pau Cave, Na Luong Cave which also bring the beauty and the historical value.

Lung Cu Flagpole, the North peak of Vietnam, it is at the 1700m compared with the sea level in Lung Cu Commune, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province.

Dong Van Ancient Street, it is located on the rocky plateau at an average high of 1600m above 1.000- sea level, it is 160km from Ha Giang city. There is a town and an ancient market with the architecture existing hundreds of years but attract tourists by the ancient beauty.

Ha Giang not only plays an important role in the national socio-economic development, security and defense but also is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
