Halong Bay Weather

Halong Bay or Quang Ninh province in general is mainly tropical monsoon climate with a hot - humid summer in between April and October and a cold – dry winter in the others. The average temperature is 23, 2°.

  • The best time to visit must be winter season from Oct to April next year when rainfall is minimal and the humanity is low
  • Avoid visiting Halong Bay in January or December due to this is the coldest months
  • Like other provinces in the north of Vietnam, Halong bay or Quang Ninh has strongly the influence of north –eastern monsoons. The wind blows strongly and temperature drops to between 1 and 3 degree mainly in June, July and August.
