Kien Giang Travel Guide

Kien Giang province located in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam and known for fishing and rice farming. How to get to Kien Giang

Like other provinces in the Southern part of Vietnam, travelling by bus is always the best and reasonable price to travel and Kien Giang is not an exception. You can go directly to Bus- Train Station to buy ticket.

Rach Gia ( Kien Giang Capital) is 92km from Ha Tien, 116km from Cantho, 182km from My Tho, and 250km from Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, the province owns 3 airports: Rach Gia, Phu Quoc, and Ha Tien. From Ho Chi Minh City, there are daily flights connecting to Rach Gia, and 28 flights per week linking to Phu Quoc

Hydrofoil boats daily connect Rach Gia and Phu Quoc and vice versa.     

Things to do and top attractions in Kien Giang

Nam Du Island

Nam Du is a small archipelago (near Phu Quoc Island) of Kien Giang province. The largest island in the archipelago is Hon Lon (Large Islet), the locals usually call Cu Tron islet. Nam Du tourism has not developed so things are still pristine and natural. The best time is from January to March because the sea is pretty quiet

 Ha Tien

Ha Tien is far about 93km from the main centre of Kien Giang city and is famous for the beautiful landscape and visited by many visitors. The mountain around Ha Tien is grandiose with green color like the partition from the sea and mountain.

Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc is also known under the name Pearl island, and the biggest island of Vietnam and a district of Kien Giang. Phu Quoc tourism is famous for beautiful sea, beaches, primary forests and ancient fishing villages. This island is an ideal destination of Vietnam.

Hon Trem Island
