How to get there
To go to Phu Yen, you can travel by the following ways:
- By Air: Travelers can take a flight to Dong Tac domestic airport and take a bus or taxi to get Tuy Hoa Center. There are serveral flights a week of Vietnam airlines connecting Tuy Hoa and Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi – Tuy Hoa.
- By Train: Besides using bus service, you also can use train as the safeties way to travel in Vietnam. For more detail about schedule and time, you can go Vietnam-railway to check and book tickets online.
- By bus: Phu Yen is easily reached by regular bus service, with fares from VND 60,000 to 70,000
- Get around: Best way to get around Phu Yen is with a motorbike. Travelers can rent at the hotels with costing around VND 100,000-VND 150, 000 for automatic bikes and VND 80,000- VND100, 000 for manual bikes.
Attractions
Nhan Mountain
Nhạn Mountain located is in the north bank of Da Rang river, Ward I, Tuy Hoa city and seen as a symbol of Phu Yen province. At a height of 64m on the top of Nhan mountain, visitors can see the panoramic beauty of Tuy Hoa city
Ganh Da Dia
Ganh Da Dia is very special and far about 30km from the city center. It is one of the 4 rarest places formed from basalt columns besides Giant’s Causeway – Ireland, Los Órganos – Spain, Fingal’s Cave – Scotland and the most things that attract people by different shades of colors changing depending on the sunlight
Mui Dien – Dien Cape
Mui Dien located in Phuoc Tan village, Hoa Tam commune, Dong Hoa district and is a part of Truong Son mountain range overlooking the sea. This place not only looks like a mountain and but also an island because there is the stream separating mountain from the land

Tuyet Diem Salt Making Village
Tuyet Diem is one of three traditional salt making villages in Phu Yen that has been established since 1870. This village was called Cu Muong salt by merchants because the old salt boats from the north to buy salt had to pass Cu Mong Pass
It’s worth coming here to not only observe the process of salt making but also have great experience about Phu Yen daily life and Vietnam people general.
Long Thuy beach
Long Thuy Beach is far about 12 km in the north of the center of Tuy Hoa city and this is considered the most famous and beautiful beach in Phu Ye with smooth beach, white and clean sand and beautiful scenery with a quite rich marine ecosystem.

Blood oysters in O Loan Lagoon:
Blood oyster in Phu Yen is quite famous especially in O Loan Lagoon. Blood oyster can process by many ways like boiled, steamed and the best way is grilled on charcoal until cockle shells open and the medium cooked cockles seep out some fluid, you just take the cockle’s inside, dip in prepared mixture of salt, pepper and lemon juice and eat with some aromatic herbs and grilled rice-paper. A sip of liquor will make the dish much more delicious.
Steamed tuna eyes and jellyfish salad:
Tuna eyes are well-known for its delicacy and high nutritious value especially for those who have poor eyesight or eye diseases and listed of specialties of Tuy Hoa’s cuisine that travelers should try. It can be cooked in different ways, such as: raw tuna slice served with mustard sauce, grilled tuna steak, fried tuna breast, tuna rice porridge and so on
