Vietnam Traffic Jams

Traffic jams are always a big problem for all travelers when they come to Vietnam which is frequently take place in big cities like Hanoi capital and Ho Chi Minh City.

There is no rule for the time the traffic jams to happen, but it is worst during the rush hour when everyone get to work ( 7:00-9:00 am) or come back home ( 5:00pm-7:00 pm). Especially when it rains, the traffic jams get more terrible with flooding.

How to avoid traffic jams

  • Get a motorcycle: Because roads in any bid cities are quite small and Vietnam public transportation isn’t be developed, so the best way to help you easily go around is get a motorcycle. 
  • Check the news before going out: Before going out, you should check VOA news to avoid these problems like accidents or flooding roads.
  • Take detours: you need to grasp the map of Ha Noi before going around the traffic jam. You might find yourself in an even more serious jam if you don’t know where you are going.
  • Should avoid going out during rush hour ( 7:00-9:00 am and 5:00pm-7:00 pm)
