Vietnam Embassy in Italy functions as a channel of communication between the Vietnamese Government and its counterpart in Italy. It is also the place where Italy citizens and residents can visit to apply for a visa to Vietnam.

As Vietnam Embassies, all citizens of Italy are exempted entry visa for a stay of within 15 days in Vietnam ( July 1st, 2015- June 30th, 2016). But for citizens of others are not included in the list of Vietnam visa exemption and citizens of Italy wanting to stay in Vietnam for more than 15 days, a Vietnam visa is required.
Citizens or residents in Italy can choose one of 02 options below to apply for a visa to Vietnam:
- Directly contact the Vietnam Embassy to apply for a visa; OR
- Apply online to get visa on arrival (visa picked up at the arrival airport in Vietnam with the legal approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department).
